Hello from Costa Rica Learn
Learn about what people like to do an a vacation to Costa Rica.
I am Rebbeca and my mother is Kathy. We recently spent one wonderful week in Costa Rica. We came primarily for dental work. Dr Morera Fujiwara, Alajuela..We stayed at Xinia’s vacation home stay in Alajuela..then the Arenal Volcano National Park and also Manuel Antonio National Park.
We had a wonderful time with Xinia. She is a beautiful person and such a hard worker. We enjoyed the delicious fruit drinks she prepared everyday. The food was awesome too! Absolutely loved the whole family. The little apartment was so nice and private. We had a little bit of a learning curve in the shower. 🙂 We were new to on demand hot water that did not really get very warm. Probably because we didn’t understand how to work it. No big deal to me just part of the experience. 🙂
Our biggest problem was something we created. Too much luggage to be hauling around. I learned my lesson! The stairs were not fun with all the bags we had….. I know not to do that again.
I really liked your dentist too. He and his wife were some of the sweetest people I met in Costa Rica. I want to proceed with their suggestions and really need to get back with them. Especially to thank them for their time and kindness. I wasn’t able to get my prescription for exray’s done as I wanted to there but I will have them done here and send via email. Then they will have a much better idea of what they can do and how long it would take.
The rest of our trip went well. The private transfer worked out perfectly and Mom felt like she could have adopted our driver (Diego). He showed us many sights along the way that we would have never seen in a group transfer.
I loved Tabacon and Mom enjoyed all the adventures while I just spent the entire day relaxing at the hot springs. Thanks for recommending that to us. The most relaxing part of the trip was being on the beach in Manuel Antonio. We ended up changing rooms when we got there so we would be in the rooms with a balcony on the ocean side of the road. Breakfast was included at the beach front restaurant just a short walking distance from our room and had exactly what we wanted every morning….open air eating beach side with all the fruit on the buffet you could handle. It was wonderful to take a long walk afterwards on the beach toward the central park beach or the other direction. We spent the first day in the Manuel Antonio park watching many species of animal’s…..it was incredible! So glad we headed that way. Manuel Antonio beach was beautiful I loved the monkey’s that came right down to the beach to steel my banana.
Great Vacation! Mom and Me
