Cooking Classes -Typical  Costa Rican Cooking.  Xinia is an excellent cook and will share her secrets with you in a class where you learn to make Costa Rican dishes using ingredients from the local farmers market.  Examples:  picadillo which is  finely chopped vegetable of  chayote or potato,  often mixed with a small amount of meat such as chicken or beef or pork. Or Arroz Con Poyo (Rice with Chicken)  which is the most popular dish for holidays. Learn to make delicious natural drinks of papaya, mango, pineapple, and banana.  Learn how to mix these different fruits in the same drink for optimum health benefits such as weight loss and lowering blood pressure. Learn how cilantro and garlic are the favorite herbs used in Costa Rican cooking. If you are here on a Saturday we take an exciting journey to the Colorful Farmers Market, “Ferria”  where dozens of farmers bring their home grown (some grown organically) fruits and vegetable, as well as beautiful flowers-roses and orchids- $25 per person with Xinia as your guide.

Visit the local attractions with Xinia as your guide.  The Poas Volcano National Park is only 35 minutes. Here you see a mile wide geyser with deep blue steaming pools of sulfa water bursting upward into the air and the giant elephant ear plant know as poor man’s umbrella.   Priced upon request.

Doka, Four Generations Coffee Plantation Tour is only minutes away.  You can learn first hand about how coffee is grown and processed and have a cup of the Best Costa Rica Coffee!  Also you can purchase bags of coffee to take home at very good prices. Priced upon request
