I would like to share Tina Lane’s testimony to their Great Family Vacation to Costa Rica. She and her husband and their two sons aged ten and fourteen spend their family vacation in Costa Rica, arriving June 8, 2018 and staying eight days.  I helped Tina plan her itinerary and this is what she had to say:

Hi Ann

We had a fantastic trip!  Costa Rica was so beautiful and we miss it already.  

We were really happy at the Playa Conchal condo. It was great for our family and had all  the amenities we could ask for. We had a washer and dryer, dishwasher, etc. The condo was well equipped with dishes, lines, towels. The view to the tropical gardens was great, and we were not far from the beautiful playa conchal white sand shell beach. Our condo had it’s own pool, and then there was the main beach club with two pools, a restaurant, and beach access. We loved Playa Conchal. The Pacific Ocean was clear and warm. My husband golfed and enjoyed the course. We would stay there again for sure.   

We also loved Arenal Observatory Lodge!  It was so different from the beach part of our trip. The upgrade to the junior suite was worth it. The layout was spacious and comfortable. The Lodge never felt crowded and the people were very friendly and helpful. We did the early morning complimentary guided hike offered by the Lodge which ran along the base of the Arenal Volcano. We saw monkeys, tropical birds, and walked on the old lava fields.  

The Arenal zip line  (Sky Tram, Sky Trek) was the highlight of our trip. We have all zip lined before and the location in Costa Rica is exceptional. From the top of the mountain the view to Arenal Lake was spectacular. We all loved it!  

The only downside was having to leave. Since we rented a car and did our own driving, the kids complained about all the driving, but we enjoyed getting to see more of the country. I would like to return again and explore Manuel Antonio, although I would miss Playa Conchal.
