This was the first stop on our 21 day vacation in Costa Rica from Freeport, Texas. Our vacation was designed and planned day by day by Ann Cabezas Creed, “The Costa Rica Expert” a vacation planner for Costa Rica.  We visited Buena Vista Hotel Alajuela Costa Rica on April 6 and then again on April 9th and 10th. What a beautiful way to start. We were picked up by the free airport shuttle and taken quickly to the hotel. Our room was on the second floor with a balcony that overlooked San Jose and Alajuela. It was spectacular at night with a 180 degree view of the lights. The wonderful staff created an atmosphere that welcomes customers and makes them feel like family. Xinia, the manager, is one of a kind and the owner, Lee Pratt, is lucky to have her there as well as all the rest of the kind people. We took a guided tour in a hotel van to Poas Volcano and the La Paz Waterfall and park. The driver gave us an ongoing verbal tour of the countryside all the way up and back to Alajuela.

Again, the hotel staff did a great job and the quality of the hotel permitted us to thoroughly enjoy our stay at Buena Vista Hotel. I highly recommend anyone to stay there and also thank Ann Cabezas Creed, our Travel Planner, for booking the hotel for our stay.

Hotel Buena Vista Alajuela is located conveniently only twelve minutes from the San Jose international airport at 4.000 feet above sea level with spectacular views of the central valley.  The glittering lights of Alajuela and the surrounding mountains are a sight to see in the evening and are viewed best from the back yard of the hotel.
