Location: North Central Costa Rica. By car 3.5 hours from San Jose international airport. Road is good, do not need a 4×4 vehicle. But don’t drive at night because the road is winding through mountains, often fogging at night. Drive from Arenal to the NW Guanacaste beaches 4 hours. Roads are good..do not need a 4×4 vehicle. From the Liberia international airport, Northern Zone, 3.5 hours drive by good roads.
Weather: rains is plentiful. Everything is lush and green all year round. Sunny mornings offer time for adventure outdoor activities and many days the sun is shining all day.
There is no dry or rainy season In Arenal. However, the months that have less rain are March and April.
